Beth Ostrosky and Howard Stern were approached by a deranged, homeless black man on Columbus Avenue in New York City as they walked home from dinner on Saturday night. As the couple attempted to make their escape via cab, the fanatic caught up with them and spit through the cab’s open window and into Ostrosky’s face. I’m surprised that Howard and Beth didn’t have a bodyguard with them, but then I guess they aren’t the kind of couple that is hounded by paparazzi 24/7 a la Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Stern talked about the incident for about an hour this morning on his Sirius satellite radio show, then said that he wanted to move on. Howard was clearly disturbed when anyone said that they hoped Beth would be okay, implying that she may have caught a disease from her attacker. I hope she’ll be okay too. Some people are scum bags.
